To say this book blew my mind would be an understatement. Authors Abi and Missy did a phenomenal job at character development, creating so much action you just cant stop reading and a romance that melts your heart.

Lexi Hamilton blew me away with her development as a character. Her courage to continue on after so much happened in the revolt is certainly a different Lexi to the sad and scared Lexi in Branded.

The writing of action is unlike I have ever read before! Abi and Missy really have a talent of making really action packed scenes with lots of drama and also a lot of humour at the same time. The action was really fast paced and also realistic at the same time, making it easier to imagine it in your mind and to come addicted to the story and never be able to put it down.

Hunted was a really action packed read filled with drama, humour, romance and was an incredible sequel to Branded. Abi and Missy have done it again! Totally need Liberated now after that ending.

About Abi and Missy

Abi and Missy met in the summer of 1999 at college orientation and have been best friends ever since. After college, they added jobs, husbands and kids to their lives, but they still found time for their friendship. Instead of hanging out on weekends, they went to dinner once a month and reviewed books. What started out as an enjoyable hobby has now become an incredible adventure.

Silent Echo Book Review!

Silent Echo by Elisa Freilich Review

We are taken through Silent Echo with third point of view looking at Portia Griffin’s life. Portia was rendered mute at birth, she has been silent for 16 years. Music is Portia’s friend, as well as Felix, her deaf best friend who doesn’t care one bit that she cant speak. Portia’s silence is soon broken with the abrupt discovery of her voice, it contains power so much so it affords her to control those around her. Being able to persuade, seduce and destroy using just her voice, Portia sets out on a search for answers on who she really is and what she is destined to do.

Silent Echo is inspired by Homer’s Odyssey.

Silent Echo is a really beautiful read, Elisa really has a beautiful writing style and knows how to write really lovely descriptions of the story she has created. The plot was a really beautiful set out too and was very creative and I found myself really interested in what would happen next.

Portia was a really awesome character to read about, and Elisa really makes her a loveable lead roll. Her love for music reminds me a lot of myself and I felt like I connected to her as a character a lot as she reminded me of myself.

The only element that didn’t really pull me in was the mythology part, I’m not really a big fan of mythology as a subject in books, hence why I haven’t picked up the Percy Jackson books. But I pulled through and found myself wanting to learn a little more about mythology.

Overall, Silent Echo was a very enjoyable read for me, Elisa’s writing was very beautiful and she really pulls off the love triangle and makes it a very hard decision for you to choose one out of Max and Felix. I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in mythology and loves music.

Nobody’s Goddess book review!

Nobody’s Goddess by Ay McNulty Review

I was kindly sent a copy of Nobody’s Goddess in exchange of an honest review

Nobody’s Goddess is told through the point of view by Noll, who is a seventeen year old girl living in a world where men are masked and magic compels them to love only one woman whom they call their ‘Goddess”, woman are given the choice to reject or accept the only man that will ever love them. However a man will stay masked until their lover returns their love and the mask can then be removed in a special ceremony called The Returning. If a woman never returns a mans love, their mask will never be allowed to be removed. Noll is put into a tricky situation when her best friend Jurij finds the goddess in Noll’s own sister. We travel through Noll’s long journey to breaking this ancient bond. Noll instead discovers why no man has ever found the goddess in her.

Wow, this book took my breath away. The plot was very intriguing and it was unlike anything I had ever really read about before and it really pulls you in. I found myself getting no sleep from this book as just as I was about to put it down, something very interesting was about to come and made me keep on reading.

Noll was a very interesting character to read about, her courage and passion to do things made me connect with her a lot. Noll’s life was also very interesting to read about such as the way her family lives and how she spends her days.

Nobody’s Goddess was a very intriguing and addictive read. It kept me on my toes and had twists and turns around every corner. Just as you think it couldn’t get anymore interesting, suddenly you loose another hour of sleep. Noll was a very interesting and strong lead character and I would recommend this to anyone that loves a little bit of a medieval setting and a very addicting mysterious read.

MY RATING: 4 out of 5 stars
